Born and raised in San Francisco, my life has followed a spiritual path from an early age. After a family trip to Crete following high school, I continued on a European tour across 11 countries, visiting great museums and historic sites which had a profound impact on my life.

I earned an Associate of Arts degree from San Francisco City College and continued my education with a design major at California College of the Arts. Drawn to the coastal beauty of Big Sur, I spent a year at the Esalen Institute studying psychology and philosophy. My husband and I designed and built a home in Big Sur, which was featured in the Los Angeles Times Home Section in August 1977.

After moving to Los Angeles, I spent seven years as an interior designer and later transitioned to career in graphic design.

In 1997, I reconnected with my roots by building a home on my ancestral land in Crete, a place I’ve returned to almost every summer since. Over time, my creative journey led me to photography, focusing on the rich architectural and design elements of 15th- and 16th-century monasteries. I’m captivated by the interplay of the seen and unseen—looking through doorways, beyond stone walls, and into the stories they hold.

I have been a lifelong student of Orthodox Christianity, art, and philosophy, always searching out what holds us together.
